Making Playdoh

Many times throughout the year we make playdoh as a group.   The children help write and read a list of ingredients.  Then they assist their teacher with measuring and adding in the ingredients.

Making Clothes

The students have been busy incorporating clothing making into their learning.  They're expressing their creativity as they measure clothing, exercise their fine motor skills with cutting and twisting fabric, and write flyers and signs for the clothing store.

Look at some of their creations!

Patterns

Patterns are everywhere!  We have been learning how to make and recognize patterns all around us.  Here is a look at some of the patterns that were made!

Welcome

Welcome to our new website!  We will use this to communicate with families about what we are doing in our classroom.  Extraordinary learning is happening all the time!   Miss London and I are excited to be able to share some of the day with you through this medium.  Please use it to guide conversations at home and promote oral language.

We found a small spider on the carpet, made him a home and then went out to find him some food!  We have been reading books, watching videos and learning through observation what spiders do and like.

Recently J.G. accidentally brought in a spider on some leaves that he wanted to share.  The spider is very large!  We will soon see through observation what our large spider likes to eat and do!

After a few days of the large and small spider living together we returned one morning to see that they had not survived.  We are not sure what happened.  This raised many questions in the class.
